I LOVE it when a quilt is finally finished. It feels so good to witness the transformation of pretty patchwork into a three-dimensional, useful object. How lucky then that I am a longarm quilter! Not only do I now enjoy this stage of my own quilt-making (instead of dreading the quilting), but I get to live vicariously through the finishes of my clients.

I wanted to use up a roll of precut fabric strips, but ended up doing something even better - enjoying triangle scraps. Through this quilt those triangles have earned the perceived value of all my other scrap categories. And that is a big step up indeed!
